Duff Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Where should I feel the prone capsule stretch(the one where your arm goes across the body)? Whenever I do it, I just feel like I'm choking myself.
Adurst Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Retract and depress your scapula Roll shoulder down and back while doing stretch. You can't really say where you'll feel things as everyone is different...if you still don't feel it...at all...the pose may be mastered...you might need a harder varient...or your missing a nuance.
Jim Pickles Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 As Adurst says - and make sure the arm goes a bit lower down, across your collar bone, not your throat.
Duff Posted March 8, 2015 Author Posted March 8, 2015 I have the arm in the correct position, certainly not across my throat. Depressing more doesn't help. I can get a little bit of a stretch going on my left side(mostly in the medial deltoid, I think), but none on my right. I can actually lift my arm off the ground if I go a little higher; cramps my pec minor pretty good. I wonder if that might be good for anything...maybe if someone had activation problems? It could be possible I just have good flexibility in the position. Plenty of them to work on without this one anyway.
