It occurs to me that many of the Crossfit people would most likely be interested in the squat program. Squat form and mobility is a very frequent topic in their circles.

So for target audience don't just think about the GB people.

Federico, did you download onto desktop or into iTunes first? Others will help, I'm sure

@ truelove: thanks, sincerely

@ Josh: these programs are suitable for the pole dance folk, cross fitters, pilates; well, everyone who wants superior flexibility. All promotion gratefully accepted!

That's a good point (re: crossfit). talk about a source of thousands... put this out there in all the crossfit forums, if any of you are privy to such.

Wow! Nice! Saw this on reddit of all places.

2 Questions before I take the plunge:

1. This looks like it would help me conquer Swivel Hips, am I right?

2. If one is able to correctly perform E8, still buy the course or wait for the next one?

1. There are some stretches and movements in the program that will help with the swivel hips.

2. At a pricepoint of 10 dollars, there is not much of a risk in simply buying the program, unless you are a bit financially challenged of course. At best you will find something that will help you (e.g. a stretch that will start preparing you for the splits in Master the pancake) and at worst you will get a sample of the format in which the other programs are presented and you can use this to determine whether you would like those. While most of the stretches presented in the program you will have seen in some form earlier before, it is the detailed explanation of how to best achieve the stretch and find hidden bonus corners that will probably give the good results. Watch this video for example:

Before watching Kit's videos it had never occured to me that I could also do 'lunges in other directions'.

A question of my own is if anyone knows of a good way to view these videos on an Andriod machine (Nexus 7 here). The default gallery for videos has got to be the most useless selection screen for videos I have worked with so far; there does not seem to be any data about the video you're selecting and you cannot see the filenames! You have to guess from some (randomly chosen?) frame of the video which video it actually is.

I would imagine the pirifomis episode (in particular) would do wonders for your swivels. Anyone with good anatomy knowledge please correct me if I'm wrong.

This is assuming you drive your swivel from the hips and not from the knees (which in my experience a lot of people do, which causes knee pain from lateral pressure on the knee joint).

I think Tris is right, at least based on my personal experience. I mastered swivel hips as soon as I substantially improved my piriformis flexibility, which is just that of an average person right now.

Tris, 100% accurate, plus my take on the seated figure 4 exercise, too (L7).

@ Geoff: the frames displayed are not random; they are selected to remind you of the content.

Thanks Tris.

I've been doing the piriformis stretches since March (based on this thread), but haven't seen much improvement. Basically:

1 day a week: Floor Piriformis stretch + Chair Piriformis Stretch + Table support piriformis stretch (do these as stretches so I should feel sore the next day)

3 times a week: 50+ swivel hips with 0 strain. (do these as limberings)

I'm starting to think the culprit for me is something other than the piriformis.

p.s What got my attention in regards to swivel hips is 01:30 in the trailer.

The frames displayed on the Vimeo page are very good choices for this reminder. The Vimeo page, my Nexus7 and my windows laptop all show different frames for the videos however, and the last two have not always chosen good representatives for the entire video. Could it be that during the download from Vimeo the chosen frame is lost? Or is something on my end not working correctly? I have added a screenshot of how windows is displaying the folder.

Unfortunately the frame chosen to be displayed on vimeo I'd purely a vimeo thing - it won't be kept in the downloaded video, and whatever software you use will have its own method to arbitrarily decide what frame it feels like using.

A few options. Either stream them using the vimeo app, so you can see the intended thumbnails. Of course this defeats the purpose of downloading them and requires and internet connection.

On my nexus 7, I use dice player. It looks like this:

post-2360-0-41760600-1403320009_thumb.pn

Which has enough of the filename to be useful, although the thumbnail does wherever the video was last played to.

Use ES File Explorer from play store. Its a file manager that will show content as filenames

Well, I had my second day of Olympic weightlifting training under coach Bob Takano, and he had me do a series of exercises that exposed even more issues, in particular my ankles/calves and HF. Looks like I am going to be starting the program in earnest (I bought it on the day of release) tomorrow.

I mentioned the program to coach Takano and he seemed a bit interested in it as a resource. Who knows this might open up a new market here in the states among the weightlifting crowd!

I've spurked it into several Facebook groups including the convict conditioning group, bar brothers, crossfit and a number of bulletin boards.

Hopefully we make Kit super wealthy on $10 programs so he can continue his noble mission with the resources he requires.

$10x

10=$100

100=$1000

1000=$10,000

10,000=$100,000

:)

The crossfit page I posted on had 63k likes

Kit...you should approach Breaking Muscle to do a short article...most of their Facebook posts get several thousand likes.

Also The Box Magazine would have over 100k people following

FYI, I just tagged Coach Takano and Takano Athletics in the ST FaceBook post about MTS. If you are unaware of who Coach Bob Takano is, do a quick Google search on him. He is in the USA Weightlifting Hall of Fame and just opened a new weightlifting gym this past week. Kit, if you have a chance, you should meet up with coach Takano when you are out in Glendale in September.

Incredible legend!

If I'm not mistaken he rotated back and forth between winning oly lifts comps and Mr universe.

Back in the days when bodybuilders where strong!

I think you are confusing Coach Bob Takano with Olympic Weightlifting legend, Tommy Kono
