This is the Day one recording; I will add the others as time permits (there will be seven in all).

Downloading instructions:

Control + Click (Mac) or Right Click (PC) on either of the links below to bring up the menu; select Download Linked File (or, if you are a Mac user and want to import straight into iTubes, select Import into iTunes from the same menu.

These are .MP3 files, so will be recognised by any mp3 player, iPhone, iPod, or i-device.

DAY 1: The setup instruction are the first link (about 10’ long; worth listening to if you have not done this practice before):

https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/lying-relaxation-scripts/2014-GV_day1_extended_setup.mp3

The relaxation script itself (about 28 minutes long):

https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/lying-relaxation-scripts/2014-GV_day1_First_lying_relaxation_28_mins.mp3

There is no more powerful health-promoting practise than this: you simply have to put aside 20-30 minute a day, listen, and relax, deeply.

DAY 2: Here's the briefer setup instructions for day two:

https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/lying-relaxation-scripts/2014-GV_day2_Shorter_setup_instructions.mp3

The recording itself ("finding the Elements")

Just tried this together with my wife who is 2½ weeks from giving birth. We both enjoyed it very much! I believe doing this daily from now on will help her when it's time too. :)

My (little) previous experience of relaxation comes from doing yoga three times a week for about 6 weeks last summer and freediving, starting summer 2013 too.

I feel that it carries over to the GST static holds very well. Focusing on breathing and awareness gets rid of a lot of unnecessary tension and energy waste during the holds.

Very excited about taking this further with the help of your scripts. Thanks!

I've found the same thing. Awareness training not only helps me stick with the hold, but I found it improves my proprioception to make sure I'm also keeping the right form.

A big definite YES on this: relaxing is critical to birth. How exciting for you!

More recordings today.

Is there any difference in how you link to the clips? Day 6 is a blue text link ready to download but Day 5 is a dark grey bar with play and stop buttons, not downloadable. Same goes for the two in your March 1st post further up.

Use a download manager (such as FlashGot for Firefox), or you can manually MultiQuote the posts containing the embedded players, and you will see the source .mp3 links in the body of the reply form.

@Kit  love it! doing my part as a dog person to add some canine yin to the obvious feline yang; understandable though, if one of Plato's forms was suppleness, cats pretty clearly embody it more than dogs. but every now and then you'll be surprised by dogs... and arguably, dog-like movement is more attainable for humans, and if you at all believe in embodied cognition, then perhaps more desirable as well...
