Kit_L
Abdul, yes, my intention is to make the programs cross platform, and DRM-free, because I want to get these idea out there doing work. On the matter of solo vs. partner: some of the partner exercises are literally four or five times as effective as the solo ones—and we all need to accept that. What we here do is we find someone to work with once a week only, and for about 30-40 minutes, and make the exercises you work on in that time your worst ROM—and in six month's time, many things will have changed. All programming will be done here. This way, everyone can post their impressions/progress/problems, and the programming will become a live, adapting resource. No one knows all about this stuff, so why pretend? We will all learn this way.
Abdul Ghani
Unfortunately, I don't have anyone to work with, that is why I was wondering if each module would have a solo version. All programming will be done here. This way, everyone can post their impressions/progress/problems, and the programming will become a live, adapting resource. No one knows all about this stuff, so why pretend? We will all learn this way. That's a good idea. I really like how you think and are willing to admit that you are not a "guru"; the fact that you are still willing to learn more and are flexible with your ideas even after years and years of studying says a lot about you. I can't wait until this is released!
Kit_L
Abdul, see those two beautiful children in your photo above? They can both help you, even if it's just adding weight to a leg! You have to be creative. If I had a dollar for everyone who told me that they don't have anyone to work with, I could retire. Be creative: if you let this turn over in your mind, someone will pop up (unless you are really living on a desert island, on your own!). If you look at the Mastering the Pancake description, only the last exercise is a partner one, and it is a repeat of the solo one above. So, all the elements of this program are solo exercises. But if you can find someone (anyone) to help you for 30' a week, your progress will be much faster. How much do you want it?
Kit_L
Oh, and on the 'guru' thing? The only reason I know anything about this stuff is that my own body has always been major-league tight. There are no gurus in this area; we just know a bit more than the experts who say they do. THE reason I started these Forums is that I realised I can't do this on my own (and never could). I am committed to life-long learning—and the facts are that we, the ST system (which is people like you, all the people I have taught over the last 12 years, all the present and past teachers, and all of the 25,000 students we had at the University over all that time) have learned more in the last five years than the previous 20. That's collective learning, oriented to particular objectives, in action. This is how it works.
Geotrismegistos
I just made an account to tell you that im also interested in this. For that price, its an offer i cant refuse. -Will the program be fool-proof/follow along? -What programs are planned for releasing? =Some programs id like to see: Side splits Front splits Lotus Straight shoulders(For bridge and handstand) Backbend(for bridge and feet to head/pigeon) Legs behind head/Yoganidra (I guess pancake and lotus stretches would cover that) One general daily program for mobility/longevity, especially trying to prevent neck, back, knee problems, etc.
thecolin
-Will the program be fool-proof/follow along? I have yet to find a program that I can't mess up in some way or another.
Kit_L
+1 to what he said: I have yet to find a program that I can't mess up in some way or another. Having said that, the programs will be like my YT clips, but with then benefit that all related exercises will be together AND the programs will be designed explicitly to be followed. And all will have live audio, explaining exactly what we are doing (and sometimes why).
Geotrismegistos
That sounds fabulous. I guess the estimated release is within the next 3 months from what you said before. Which programs are you preparing right now except for the pancake? I think i read somewhere about side splits.
Kit_L
I was fascinated to see this newsletter today from Cory, sent to us by a friend, from over at the GB forums, in which Cory wrote: Next up on the release list are the Movement One and Stretch One/Two courses. We aren't giving an exact date yet, but it won't be a long wait! It will be interesting to see!

Kit_L
We start shooting on the Thursday before Easter. In the meantime, there's a heap of relevant YT clips—get to work (think "Wall Street", Gordon Gecko)!
Tris
edna and I just ran through the pancake sample plan. Love it!! Random comments: the Cossacks and skandasana are wonderful work-ups to the tailor. Squashed frog is my fave element. Amazing to feel the ease of the half kona-asana after the gracilis release. Shocked at how ready my pectineus was for the full kona. We accidentally left out the triangle pose, but I'm sure that would have prep'ed the lumbar to laterally flex more in the full konda. AndeL
Good times wheezer. Thanks for the opportunity to explore your Gracilis, it really was quite special on a number of levels. I feel my cossacks are really on the right path now. Definitely looking forward to the program, we were flying by the seat of our pants there a bit .
