Kit_L Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 You can't get much more real than these scripts. Downloading instructions: Control + Click (Mac) or Right Click (PC) on either of the links below to bring up the menu; select Download Linked File (or, if you are a Mac user and want to import straight into iTubes, select Import into iTunes from the same menu. The file that is downloaded is in mp3 format already, so should be directly recognised by all these devices. Here is the LINK to day 4. This script is about 18:30. Here is the LINK to day 5, including clear audio of a massive freight train that passed 5m away (tru Pilates is right next to a railway line; the benefit is that this script has cues to help you experience sounds passing right through the body—so if you get woken up at night by sounds outside, this is the script for you to try. This is around 18 minutes. Post Script: if you listen carefully, you can hear a certain large man snoring! Here is the LINK to day 6 (this is the longest one, at ~26 minutes) Enjoy, and please report your experiences with these.
Joakim Anderson Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Going to try these some time during the weekend. The link to day 6 doesn't work.
Kit_L Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 Link fixed now; enjoy! Let me know what you think.
Joakim Anderson Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Thank you! I did the Day 4 this morning. When I lay down I was bothered by a ticking clock in the room, but after a few minutes I had forgotten about it. When I heard it again I didn't mind. About halfway in, when I feel very relaxed in the whole body including the face, my eyes open by themselves and I stare at the ceiling (same thing yesterday). Any thoughts on the difference between opened and closed eyes, as you mention to close one's eyes in the very beginning? A few friends and I rent a school gymnasium three times a week where we do GST, stretching and some other things. I'm going to bring one of these scripts and have us all do it at the end of a session. I think it'll be appreciated. If you don't mind that is.
Joakim Anderson Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Well if you mind you were too late to say so, sorry. We turned off the light and ended today's two hour session with the Atlanta Studio Lotus day 4 script today. It was a great way to wind down after hard work, very much appreciated by the others. Such a different atmosphere putting back tools and walking out of the gym tonight. Very calm.
Keilani Gutierrez Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I listened to it as I was driving home last night from a town that is usually a 1hr 30 minute drive and when I got home it stretched to 2hrs. looks like when I stopped listening to music and focused on breathing and relaxing, the drive stretched. when I got home it was a pretty sweet deal to not be as stiff in the hips as I usually am after a drive like that.
Kit_L Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 I would not recommend listing to any of these while driving: you do not want to drop into a trance-like state while doing this!!!! In fact our CDs say "Do not use while operating machinery". You can definitely do the breathing and relaxing as a conscious activity while driving though. Absolutely no problem using these recordings any way you want; and by all means send to friends. That's what they're for. More new ones coming today, too.
Keilani Gutierrez Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 oh, i wouldn't do the closing of the eyes or sinking too deeply into the body exploration to the point of drifting mentally. leave that for your free time
AndeL Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Chloe & I just did this together (c'ville 5) & were laughing hysterically. Then the train came, that was it. Tears of laughter. We pulled it together towards the end though. Loved it.
