supraspinatus stretch

Recommended Posts

Hi to everyone. Since i've started to follow kit's book i notice a great improvement especially in my ability to relax near to my current rom without multiple sets of the same exercises but at the first. this is awesome.

My problem occurs the day after a particular exercise. I'm talking about the supraspinatus stretch proposed in the dvd update of stretching and flexibility. if i apply the CR the day after i really can elevate my arm of 1 cm, the is the evidence that the rotator cuff muscle is stressed. BUT if i do only a relaxed position without the CR the pain sensation is very little.

what can i do? i know is not the same approach use the CR or use the relaxation. i've always had that problem stretching the rotator cuff with pnf varations...

thanks

Alessandro

Alessandro, can you have a look at what you wrote above and perhaps try expressing what you mean in a different way; I am not sure what you are asking here. (I don;t speak Italian, by the way, so your writing is very impressive!)

Regards, KL

HI, Kit sorry for the english..i noticed some errors that can make my concept a little bit confused.

i've followed during the last weeks some of the dvd update exercises. what i've experienced is concerned with the supraspinatus exercises where a partner is pulling you arm holding your forearms behind the lower-medial part of the back.

if a i apply the CR technique i don't feel pain at the moment..no trouble during the stretching or relaxing movements. but the morning after the rotator cuff stretch i cannot elevate my arm (in the previous post i said "i can"...) without feeling a bad sensation, a sort of loss of strength. and if i try to do every movement (as the cuban press) that usually involves supraspinatus i can feel it very very very sore...the pain gone after 2-3 days BUT if the stretch is more intense...it remains for at least one week, limiting my training in what is concerned with overhead pressing and pulling movements...

what do you think about that?

thanks for your time.

i hope to meet you in Piacenza.

Alessandro
