Kit_L Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 This was the final segment of the very recent Vancouver two day introduction to Stretch Therapy workshop, May 11-12, 2013. This particular relaxation module features strong momentary tension creation by using isometric exercises; then the student is directed to feel the immediate difference from the body when the tension is let go. This activity is followed by a guided visualisation around the body and a number of simple directed breathing techniques. This is followed by the suggestion to experience what letting sounds go through the body without leaving a trace feels like. Learning to relate to sound in this way can be very helpful for people whose sleep is disturbed by sounds in the middle of the night. Please let me know what you think of this one and if you have any particular requests for suggestions to help you sleep or relax better, I can record those "to order", so to speak. The script is 22 minutes long, and includes a 'return to normal consciousness' ending. It is already in MP3 format, so will be recognised as a sound file by most devices. Download it HERE.
