MarcosS Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Hello how are you? I am doing pike for sometime because I want one day to be able to do the V-sit. So I started this journey a long time ago most of the time using free material. Today morning, I use for the first time the video master pike first photo one year ago but I started a early but I don't have photos. From the master pike series the video E5 helped me a lot to reduce the pain in lumbar in "trying" to hard to get to my legs. E6 helped to relax more on L2 It was super nice to help me put my belly with the legs, feel and find space ( I recommend with empty stomach he he he) E11 very good too. But the progress between the last two photos from the progression was this sentence kit send to me "the bent-to-straight legs approach (rather than the straight leg approach you show here) will finish this off (your back is rounded presently)" It took me some time to fully understand the sentence, my eureka moment was at the shower where I hold firmly my ankles with bent legs and then back to straight without losing contact. Thanks very much Kit!!!!!!! My goals are now do this position without warming up for one hour hold for more than 5-10 seconds correct the my middle back ( I am already doing thorax mobility, I will continue) Now I will focus on pancake!!!!! little bit on front and lateral splits 3
Pat (pogo69) Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 You may still have work to do towards flattening your back, but that is some great progress, Marcos!
MarkusO Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 Excellent progress Marcos. Bent legs are the key to getting a nice pike. I find bent legs also help a great deal in the pancake. Give it a try. 🙂
