Introduction

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

After somewhat spontaneously responding to another thread and lurking on these forums for some time, I thought it would be polite to introduce myself. However I couldn't find a previously started thread for this purpose, hence this one (feel free to re-categorise this!).

So yep anyway, I'm Scottie and have been using the Stretch Therapy system for about two and a half years. I was introduced to the system at a meditation retreat in 2016 and then attended a couple of terms of classes before taking on a more solo practice. In October this year I was lucky to attend the Teacher Intensive part A. I'm sorry to admit I did not 'begin teaching the next week' but have started the ball rolling toward beginning a small group class at the office that I work in early next year.

Apart from the ideas learned from Stretch Therapy I am currently feeling a lot of benefit exploring the work of the guys from Original Strength, and keeping things simple has felt essential while trying to balance the demands of a young family, full time work etc.

I'd like to say thanks to all for all the valuable knowledge I've learned from this community so far and also for the chance to contribute, wherever I feel I might have something useful.

Cheers :)

Welcome to the forums Scottie.

Teaching ST is a wonderful thing to do and you will learn a lot across many domains, do it! No need to be sorry though ?Combining Stretch Therapy and Original Strength is a good choice. I like the OS stuff too.

Hey Scott!

It was nice meeting you at the intensive, and it's good to see you here :)

Don't worry - you're not the only one! I guess I technically started "teaching" my wife once I got back for practice, but I haven't officially started any classes yet either. You've got the ball rolling, though, and that's what counts!

I definitely feel you there :)

Again, good to have you here (posting)!

Welcome to the forums, Scott. This is a way less hysterical place than any other forum I know; I like it here, too!
