Naldaramjo
Hello fellow movement enthusiasts... I must have strained my coccyx when reintroducing deadlifts to my exercising. The exercise itself never caused any pain, but the directness of the correlation makes it pretty clear to me that they are the culprit. I can feel the soft tissue sensitivity if I put minor pressure with my fingers near my anus. So, I haven't been doing deadlifts for a while, but I don't feel as though I'm recovering. I make sure to avoid sitting on my tailbone whenever possible, and movement is never a problem. But sitting is, and sitting, unfortunately, is a part of my daily life. And the occasional intense sneeze seems to aggravate it. My question to you is: Have any of you ever experienced an injury to the coccyx or the soft tissue surrounding the coccyx? If so, what did you find helpful? What did you find it necessary to avoid? It's a very confusing injury, and I'm not sure how to proceed. Also, physiotherapy where I am is nonexistent, so I am assuming sole responsibility for rehabilitation.
