Firstly thanks for such detailed videos and such a great course. I learned a lot of new stretches, and a much better way to go about stretching in general. I think it will help me significantly in the future with my stretching goals. i'll be recommending this to anyone who asks me about stretching.

My main question now is "what comes next" or "what should I do next". I will continue stretching using the ABSS videos as I definitely want to keep stretching and they''re by far the best resource i've come across for stretching, i'm just not sure which order to go in. Either I:

  • Repeat the series, from 1 - 3. As the video order itself seems to be intentionally structured (I think?) in order to not target the same muscle groups on consecutive stretches etc.
  • pick and choose the stretches that I am weakest (absolutely my hamstrings) interspersing them with the remaining stretches such as neck, back, quads, hip flexors etc.

Any advice on this front? I seem to do okay in most of the exercises, but I notice my hamstrings are still way, way behind. Sometimes so far behind that instead of stretching hip flexors or quads, I end up reaching my hamstring limits first  before triggering the intended stretch:)

Thanks for the advice!

Both your suggestions are perfect, and in that order. You will need real familiarity with your body if you want to build a program to address your restrictions, so by repeating the whole series a few times (and in order works fine) you will gain the insights as to where, exactly, your restrictions are. Or use the Vimeo "Album" ("playlist", to everyone else!) feature to build a hamstring-focussed program, and do that twice a week, alternating with the other programs. As long as you are working regularly, progress is guaranteed.

Alternatively, you can get Master the Squat (but these are not follow-along, though we intend to make these, too, early next year) and Master the Pike, because the exercises there are specifically designed to unlock the hamstrings. Take your time, too; these things work best if done slowly, thoroughly, and with little regard to outcome.

Cheers for the reply! I"ll go through the program 2 or 3 times, then move on too a second more hamstring based phase after that. Thanks again for such informative and useful videos.

Looking forward to the next video series.
