AndeL Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Hi all, been a while since I posted or spent much time here. Thinking of the community of course One of the reasons for absence is doing other stuff! One of those projects: work on my myopia. I made a couple of wrong turns at times which is all good -there are lots of bum steers out there! I believe that endmyopia.org is an amazing resource and Jake Steiner is really next level. The work there is very complementary to the "ST approach". Results wise I am 0.5 diopters down from -1.25/-1.75 to -0.75/-1.0 (and better actually a lot of the time) in a year. Seeing clearly without glasses a significant proportion of the time. I started low myopia (<2 diopters); much more spectacular things happen to many people there. My good friend has gone from -6.5 to -2! Which is radical. Anyway thought I would put a little note here in case any of the crew are looking to re-pattern the eyes. I think it is a step lots should take (billions?) and that this is definitely a lifestyle issue/threat for most these days. His process is really well thought out and taught. Check it out. 1
anteriorankle Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Hi AndeL, I was just wondering about your thoughts endmyopia.com. I have 20/20 vision but wanted to look into it for people I know who have Myopia. I've gone into the site with an open mind of course, but the way it all reads and is laid out just seems a bit untrustworthy. On one hand Jake encourages people to do their own research, says that most of the information you need can be found for free, and it seems like he wants to help those who want to help themselves (which of course makes the program appear more legitimate) but on the other hand all the information seems buried and just written/laid-out in a way that seems very strange. When I was new to Kit's forum I never got this feeling - immediately it seemed like everyone was here to help and it was really encouraged to read the essential threads so that you had an idea of how to improve yourself. Though, the fact that a regular ST forum user has looked into it and shown results makes it more promising.
AndeL Posted January 29, 2018 Author Posted January 29, 2018 I think he has done a interesting job with the website & it is quite entertaining to me now, but yeah I had a lot of negative feelings at the start (eg he's too arrogant, have to dig to find information and click too many times etc). Material is solid and works though. He has his reasons for doing it I am sure eg marketing/make a statement/qualifying people etc etc, also is coming from a self proclaimed "position of f--- you" (like taleb/ido), so this comes across. I think his guru parody comes in part from the idea 'don't give the answer to the question someone hasn't asked'. He talks about all this anyway. I like it for sure, it's a hard sell I believe too. 1
