I really enjoyed the partner assisted stretching of brachialis video. I'd like to see more assessment and application videos like this. I know you (Kit) have an extensive shiatsu/bodywork background and I learn a lot from seeing how you combine these skills with the stretching forms.

I read in your book S&F you also trained martial arts in Japan. This stretch looks like the ikkyo aikido pin. I'm very interested in the healing/therapeutic applications of martial arts. When I was seriously practicing aikido the various pins were used progressively and cooperatively to warm and prepare the body for more vigorous training. When a really skillful person would apply a pin the effects were whole body, not just twisting a wrist or immobilizing a shoulder. When our Sensei applied a basic pin the sensation was an electric jolt through the body. Like many traditional martial artists he was very skillful at healing training injuries. This experience started my own journey to study acupuncture and bodywork.
