I am about to start working with a woman who has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.

I am not a very experienced practitioner and this seems to be quite a rare and debilitating disease of the CNS and musculoskeletal system.

Has anyone here worked with a client with Fibromyalgia before?  Any suggestions.....definitely do......definitely don't do  re: working with someone with this diagnosis would be much appreciated.

I have never worked with people with fibromyalgia, but here is a very useful video on the type of pain that they have (called central pain or centralised pain). It will enable you to understand a bit more about what they and others are going through. One aspect is that the area they are feeling the pain in, is not necessarily the area that is affected (because the pain is generated in the brain, not in the tissues).

By the way, I dont like the title, because words like that are used for people who are "making it up" - though as he makes clear in his talk, this is definitely not his view.
